Shamila
I have kept this name for if I have a girl child (now unlikely sigh) very SECRETELY too, (like Charlotte on SATC with Shayla (?) embroidered on that little cushion)

Charlotte's not too bad, I don't mind it

I love names! I'm such a name geek. I've even been known to lurk on baby naming websites and boards in the hopes of coming across some new and unusual name. shhh

I have a list of hundreds of names I love, I don't think I could narrow it down to just one otr two. God forbid I ever have a child to name. eek

I really like the name Anck-Su-Namun for a girl.....I'm not just saying that because I chose it as my screen name, but I really do like it. And for some reason I like Biblical guy's name, but I'm not a religious person.

God, there've been so many.... lol

My dogs were Cuddles and Sarge. I named them when I was 2 and 6 years old, respectively. I loved the dogs obviously, but if I could I would've changed their names to something less goofy.

Over the years I've had birds, turtles, frogs, fish, and various rodents named:

Lemon Zinger, Spalding, Leon, Bumblebee, Narnia, Absinthe, Jasmine, Jed, Goliath, Jack Skellington, Bela Mia, Paprika, and Bellamy. biggrin

my nom de plume is trevor + my middle name. i've used it a couple of times for stories i've written for small publications, just to be a goofball. if it had been my name for real, i woulda gone by 'trev' for short, definitely. nod

I kinda think giving human names to pets is silly. There's so much range for what you could name an animal that you couldn't necessarily name a human. Besides, what if I named a dog Lily for example, then a year or two later got knocked up and decided I really like Lily for a girl...

lol

I'm keen on old-fashioned names, especially for girls:
Agnes, Matilda, Ethel, Miriam, Gertrude, Eunice (my grandma's name), Louise, Delilah, Enid, Mildred, Millicent, Prudence, Hazel and many others.

Same goes for boys:
Wendell, Rupert, Phinneaus, Clive, Theodore, Ezra, Ernest, Albert, Walter, Addison

I like seeing girls with guy names too. I doubt people would react the same way when they see a guy with a girl's name....a boy named Daisy lol
