I'm currently trying a vegetarian diet (day six and I'm still alive... yes!). I have to admit that the soy milk didn't do it for me. Maybe I'll try it again, but it was purty gross. I suppose I'm just going to have to adjust my perception of "good." I also have never, ever been able to eat yogurt in any form or flavor, but recently found out I could tolerate chocolate yogurt, and now actually like it. I reckon it's just a head thing. I'm working on it.

I'm still eating dairy and eggs, but I'm doing organic in the hopes (whether delusional or not) that somehow free range chickens (chicken milk... ha! no, I meant the eggs) are a little better all around.

I'll try soy milk ONE more time, but after that, it's over, I swear.

what are you doing with the soy milk? try not drinking it like you would a glass of milk at first - use it in cereal or with peaches or whatever you'd pour milk on. let other flavors mix with it. if you do that for a while, you'll get used to the soy milk and you'll acquire a taste for it. myself, i love soy milk - i like the regular kind, not vanilla - but it took a while for me to fully embrace.

Anxiety, I'll try pouring it over cereal then. I just tried to drink it straight and it was quite odd. I didn't like it at all like that, so never considered mixing it with something. I'll give it a second go with the realization that it IS different. Thanks for the suggestions. Common sense stuff that I didn't have enough common sense to consider. *blush*

Well I likes it. They've really pushed it here in Thailand and it's pretty much the standard milk given to kids in schools now.

I go for the simplest version with nothing or little added.

Try "Silk" brand. To me, their soy milk tastes exactly like the stuff from cows... although, to be sure, I haven't had "real" milk (in its pure liquid form) for over seven years.
