If you ever go to Thailand we will often use this word when you sit with us and we talk about you in our own language. If you also hear the words "kee nok" then you should know that we see you as poor and not so nice farang.

Note: Africans, African Americans, Indians and such are never referred to as farangs, whether born or raised in the west or not. This view is representative of much of the country, though of course does not speak the mind of every Thai.
