friends with roaches and mice

everybody has had a roach or mouse in their home at one time or another, but do you feel comfortable going over somebody's house where the roahes just walk non-chalantly across the tv screen or the coffee table--or mice that walk slowly across the floor like YOU are the unwanted guest in the house. usually these are the same people that offer you something to eat lol

One morning I woke up and saw a tiny little mouse sitting on top of my desk lamp! wacky and then it tried to jump about 50cm into a little mirror up on the wall nuts

That's an everyday thing here, unfortunately. My in-law's house frequently has rats in the kitchen late at night and you do see roaches in the bathroom from time to time. They clean everywhere regularly, but to no avail. It's nasty, but u get used to it. shrug

that's the story of parts of my childhood, man...i'd be at a friend's house and you'd see roaches crawling around or something, or the house would be just plain nasty...friend would be like, "go ahead, sit down", and i'd be like "ummm, no..." lol

also when i was about 8 or 9, me and my folks lived in this older apartment building that was infested with roaches...the damned things would crawl into my clock radio, so i had this radio with little dead roaches stuck by the digital clock face.

and being at my grandma's house on weekends was hell, because she had these big-assed waterbugs at her house; she kept her house clean as hell, but still...i'd go into the kitchen at night to get something to eat, turn the light on and see a waterbug the size of a silver dollar scamper the hell away soon as the lights went on. i wouldn't go in there till morning.

and her basement...oh lawd...boxed

if spiders skeeve you out, then yeah...having roaches ain't cool.

and mice...i remember every winter at my dad's current apartment (he's lived there for over 10 years already eek) we'd sometimes get mice and they'd make a nest in the pantry and gnaw on the cereal boxes or whatever. we'd have to set up mousetraps in there. ill

I knew a (kooky) lady who let a family of mice move in and have babies in her oven! She didn't bake anything until the mouse babies grew up and moved away confused

I am scared to death of spiders and all creepy crawlies. One day at work, I asked a painter to stop what he was doing and kill a spider in my office. Occassional screaming is not unheard of from me. Everyone knows why I am screaming.

I have a friend whose mom's home is full of roaches. One time when I went over to visit I sat down and saw a bug, unaware that they had roaches and flicked it off the sofa, i saw baby roaches and roaches of all sizes crawling the walls, livingroom, kitchen - eeeesh I was trying to be polite and not get creeped out and leave.

btw, it's not her mothers fault, my friend told me that she and her mom reported the problem to the health inspector who is going after the rental manager to do something as all the condos are like that.
