One general statement and then I am finished with this:

As most of you know, my neighbor set fire to the house I was living in. I had lived in my flat for six years and most of my things were destroyed as a result of the fire. A year ago I was laid off from work and have been back to work for 10 months now...I'm still recovering from the layoff and didn't have renter's insurance as a result. Tackam approached me about registering for items I had lost because she said that some friends here wanted to help me. I felt uncomfortable about it at first...I've never been at the receiving end of such generosity...and didn't know what to do. I eventually accepted the offer...and have been so grateful for all of the love that has been shown to me. I hope I have adequately communicated that to those who have sent gifts to me. If not, I apologize.
This brings us to Santa...
I have particpated in this gift exchange in the past and thought it might help bring some normalcy to my life when nothing feels right or the same or comfortable. I thought this would help. When I saw that Gretchen asked for people to post some things they liked to help out their Santas...just like last year...I did so, because she was requesting it. I didn't see this gift exchange as being part of the outpouring of generosity I had recieved from the other friends here. I'm sorry if I've offended anyone. I'm very hurt by all of this.
