Dogs in snoods Just look at this dog. It's all 'I am sexy cam girl ha ha. You buy present from wishlist and I love you yes?'. I don't get why folks find the need to dress their pets up. Do you dress your pet up? What kind of get up do they wear? [Edited 11/10/05 8:13am]

Ex-Moderator | I've been looking for a nice, sassy collar for my new kitty. I want something cute with a silver star charm hanging on it with her name engraved. 'Sugar Girl'
But I draw the line at collars. |

I put a bandana on my boy the other day when we went to the park. We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou

The kids put a witches hat on my miniature dachshund for Halloween. She really didn't care for it, but it did look cute. I started calling her the "Halloweenie". When our beagle goes outside in the winter, her stomach drags through the snow because she's so short (and fat), so we put a sweater on her to help keep her a little warmer.

We get snow here in Ohio, but you're not missing much. It looks pretty the first day it snows, but it gets old real quick. It turns into brown muddly slush and makes a mess of your carpets and your car, and on sunny days its blinding.

The Snood is supposed to be more functional than just fashionable. They're good for keeping foofy ears out of food or mouths. I have Standard Poodles and if I don't pin their ears back when they eat, they end up gnawing on their ears with their food and making a big, globbery mess. Yuck! It's more of an inconvenience for me (the snarky ears), but it's a real big deal for people who show their dogs. They protect that coat, down to the foofy ears, all else be damned.
I'm too cheap for Snoods, though, since I don't care about fashion and my dogs aren't show dogs (pheh). I either tie their ears back with a scrunchy, or take the leg from an old pair of hose and cut the foot out and slide it over their heads to hold their ears back. See, there is a reason. Murica: at least it's not Sudan.

I'm laughing my ass off at the image of a poodle with a scrunchy! That is an absolutely hilarious visual!
