4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 - LOST 11/9 DIE SHANNON DIE!!!
Ok, I have no clue if she does or not...simply a phrase going around for some time. But I am stoked it's on tonight! [Edited 11/10/05 9:00am] Christian Zombie Vampires

Me too! I watch all of season 1 of Lost during the break and it got me even more excited for tonight. I have to say I'm stumped on who's dying tonight but Shannon makes sense. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

SO, what did you all think????
I thought it was quite good. Though I didn't think they would take to the end of the show to kill her off. It was quite sad. Christian Zombie Vampires

I was right there with you when it started, but like usual, I got sucked back into the "what the heck is next, who are the others, what's that backward crap Walt is saying?" by the end of the show. I must say though, not as much. The whole creating new mysteries instead of solving the other ones still stuck in the viewers' heads is starting to get frustrating. I may just start downloading the episodes from iTunes the next day. For a 1.99 you get the 40 something minute show without the commercials. Seems well worth a day wait. I envy those who got to watch it for the first time by getting the Season One DVD set. No commercials, rewind those "what the hell?" parts. I was tempted to do the same thing for Season Two, but ... Well you just got know what's next! I can't believe I'm such a sucker for this stuff. I'm a big movie buff, but TV shows I've never cared less for. This is sort of like a long ass movie. I have never cared for TV shows before...not like this.
I think those that did the DVD thing over the summer have the hardest adjustment to the actual pace to the show. I do agree that they add more and solve less...but I think it's one interconnected thing. I just wish they'd get to what that thing is. Eventually they are going to have to get to what it's about and then try to solve a way to get our Losties home...if that is even possible. And Walt said They're coming and they're close. He also told her to SHHHH...and she didn't and thus gets the dirt nap. Always trust Wet Creepy Walt! Christian Zombie Vampires

Walt is saying the same whisper that you hear in jungle scene. I tried to figure out the words but I could not make sense of it.

[Edited 11/10/05 10:17am] i saw it on DVD the first time, and even then had serious hesitations about the quality of the writing and general apprehension about getting addicted to a show, as i hate TV and watch very little, but when it's back to back, and the next episode is a buttoon click away, it makes it a lot easier to love and far more intriguing. plus, the first season seemed like it was much better. they keep introducing new characters, which i really hate. the season 2 episode with the shark almost completely sent me packing, and they have introduced way too many plot elements and resolved almost none, so it feels like the whole thing is collapsing under it's own weight. now, "arrested development" however, is the most brilliant thing on, and i eagerly await every new episode like it was christmas. Yes, I can see your point. I think they (the writers ) are testing the willpower of their viewers by pushing us to want more and more. I can't stand not knowing were the plot is going next. What about the monster in the jungle? What about the hatch? Are there anymore polar bears around? Where is the french chick? Questions and more questions. Slow build are great but the payoff better be good in the end, because if it turns out like "it was all a dream" I'll slit my throat.

Moderator | Here's an interesting theory over at the lost board.
Ana Did Not Shoot Shannon! When in fact we were watching two scenes taking place at the same time? Hmmm ... Shannon gets it in the stomach, person in view is holding something (gun or something else?) in left hand: http://lost-media.com/mod...cap883.jpg Ana is holding a gun in her right hand: http://lost-media.com/mod...cap881.jpg So maybe Ana shot Cindy? or something/someone else? We know the commercials said "someone would be lost forever" but who? Shannon or Cindy? All Rights Reserved. |

Is that a gunshot? Also, didn't Mr. Eco say they were still probably a day if not more away from the other beach? Aaaaaand when Ana first pulls the gun, it's not raining: http://lost-media.com/mod...75&pos=690 All Rights Reserved. |

I think the biggest complaint about the show is it's pace, which seems to be on the slow side for folks. For me...if I don't do this or this :vomit: I'm ok. Most shows make me do these and I have a hard time with that. Christian Zombie Vampires

Again...it will NOT be a dream...NOR will it be that they are dead. This show is being figured out by some folks who seem to know where this is headed and won't cheat the audience like that. If we were to get much more, we'd have to sacrafice back story, which seems integral to the plot. I am noticing that other characters are getting some screen time finally. We know the commercials said "someone would be lost forever" but who? Shannon or Cindy? Good points. Many are wondering if Shannon got it or not. I think she did. It would add much more dramatic elements to the plot. If it was Cindy...that would be a cheat. I think something else happened ot her or she is an "other". There are also theories on Libby...that she was the last to talk to Cindy. Cindy has backpack in one scene and Libby has it next...and there was acave with a figure lurking in it. Libby is also a psychologist...weren't those from the institute psychologists? Someone mentioned that the shot was froma rifle and not a 9mm. I say that...like the shadow in the cave, that these are mistakes or details the show didn't pay attn to. Also the rain/no rain part...I think is just a continuity error. It is also been pointed out SHannons age is wrong. She says 20 during the census...yet the flashback takes place when she's 18. Math: Jack marries Sarah 2 years after he saved her and after that turns his dad in and seperates from Sarah...so at least 3-4 years between Shannon at 18 and Shannon on the Island. Moderator | I just looked at the promo pics for next week. Libby was part of the crash so not an "other".
The whole backpack and cave thing was brought up on some morning show, and has been reviewed and does not follow what was said. That lost media site is pretty good at giving you all those crucial frames. I've looked at them. No cave. No carry sack inconsistancy, just camera angles. The promos never said someone would die, but only be "Lost Forever". so ... who knows until next week. And that there is why I am so not liking this show right now. Half of my Thursday is now gone! AHHH! I have to get back to work. All Rights Reserved. |

Moderator | Holy SMACK! LOOK AT THIS: http://www.tddg.co.uk/sword.gif
It's a rifle. Not a pistol. The dark part hanging down is the arm sling of a rifle. Ana did not shoot Shannon. Case solved. Now ... Is Shannon dead? Aaaaaand who shot her. We know two people have rifles, Desmond and the French Chick. Aaaaaand what/who did Ana shoot? Cindy? or (I hope not) the Dog? That might explain the shocked look on their faces. Next week is gonna rock with the story completely centered on the back end plane survivors...in an extended episode
I heard Dr Marvin Candle is in the episode immediately following...which means more Swan Station stuff. And more of that movie that was all chopped up. Christian Zombie Vampires
