I'm gonna play my guitar at school assembley!! I've decided, i have to do it! There's this guy in my year called Russel who is an AWESOME guitarist and is always per4ming in assembley! I have to prove that i am better... lol!
I'm gonna give myself at least a month to prepare. Here is what i will play... 1. Sweet child 'O Mine intro riff (fully, i will be sat down to play this) 2. I then stand up and play Nirvana - Smells like Teen Spirit (The main riff lots of times) 3. I then do a few improvised licks and break into Day tripper by thye beatles. 4. And finally I go sit on the edge of the stage and play Purple rain for about a minute. 5. On my way out i rip a poster of the wall which will be a giant Prince symbol o(-+> Any advice?

what advice do you need lil' fella?
you are either going to turn it out or you are going to screw it up- those are the options for a live performance,it is very "of the moment". don't think too much about it. learn the songs you are performing and just play for the people, they will either love you or throw chairs and bubblegum at you. it is quite hard to command a stage,be warned. most world-class performers are just born with it. it is not something you can learn from a book so to speak. my advice-do it all the way or don't do it at all. now, bend over and spell run... i like a nasty groove

We only had assemblies at the end of school term.
Where do you go to school? It sounds like an episode of Fame. Do you all dance on the canteen tables at lunchtime?

Mime - a lot of the time. He was a self-confessed 'mo in the movie, but not so in the TV series.

I'm pretty sure it was an 18 certificate when released theatrically in the UK, but that would be the equivalent of a 15 certificate now. There used to be an X certificate, which was above 18. I think the movie got it's rating from all of Leroy's cussing. The most offensive thing in the series was Doris Schwartz's "Wizard Of Oz" dream sequence, which lasted for a whole episode.
