Do you iron?

In front of the TV?
Not at all?
Your wife/husband does it?
You leave it in a big heap on the ironing board (like me boxed ) until your mum comes to visit and she utters those magical words "got anything you need ironed?"
Only buy things that don't need it?
Buy things so tight the wrinkles disappear when you put them on?

biggrin

Waste my time and money and the earths' resources heating up a piece of metal to make my clothes look flat ?

No, I don't do that, never will.

I fucking HATE ironing mad It's such a waste of time, the shit just wrinkles again anyway. I tend to wear fabrics that don't need much ironing. And I try to take things out of the dryer quickly before they get a chance to wrinkle. I'll only iron something if it's really really bad... redface
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I iron in front of the tv. But only things that need ironing. My old flatmate used to iron her boyfriends pyjamas, while we were both sitting there looking her, agreeing that in 5 minutes theyd be in a crumpled heap underneath him! Thats just silly.

Ive seen my mother iron underpants. wrong on so many levels. sad

I'm sure to take clothes from the dryer right away and fold or hang properly to avoid as many wrinkles as possible. I iron what needs to be ironed, generally right before I put it on. So it's on an as-needed basis, rather than several things at once.

Because as an adult I would never ask my mom to iron my shirts, and there is nothing wrong with having a maid to do it (among other things!), that's part of her job and she earns good money for it!

Same here.

And here. I don't see the fucking use of it.

My boyfriend does iron his clothes. His mother is a real hygienic and appearance freek, or how do you call these people, always worried about how they look. She gets clothes superclean, you can't imagine and she irons like she's trying to get the earth flat again, like that would solve our big problems in life or something.

The last time we were in Portugal to visit Francisco's parents he made an awful remark. He said 'I don't want to get children with you as long as you don't iron your and their clothes.' eek

He got a big punch for that.
