No. I don't have style at all. My clothes are 99% comfortable, and once in a blue moon I'm the queen, but that doesn't have anything to do with labels.
There are some dreamy labels I like, but I can't even recall the names right now.

My boyfriend is guilty of this, and I tell him what a tard he is on a regular basis. His ENTIRE wardrobe is Ralph Lauren. He acquired all of this by rummaging through Ross racks.

rolleyes

I love him and all, but that is just kinda sad.

Yes!

I don't want the name all over my clothes, but there is a unspoken quality standard that comes with designer labels...their items stand up to wear, stains, and most importantly dry cleaning...those chemicals do damage to the weak!

If you're finished growing/changing, high end clothing, in the long run, is of greater value. nod

i find that the clothes that last longer and stand up to most wear and tear, and keep their colour, have been those NOT of major labels. and if something happens to it, replacing it would be cheaper than a name brand. lol

i buy a lot of my clothes form old navy, but only at the end of the season when they slash everything 75% off--hell, they keep the same color schemes every year--i think i s[ent $80 for 9 fleece hoodies, 8 button down shirts and a jacket. 2 years ago i bought 10 sweaters for like $4.97 each, and they are in the store again this year at $32.50 each

what? If you're gonna spend money on clothes, you gotta get into a salon. Nobody wants a cheapass haircut ruining a good outfit. nod

Negative. Summer of 2004 was the only real time I spent a lot of money on clothes. I bought some real cute stuff mostly from Penguin (I love their classic polos) and a few CK and Hilfiger shirts. Big mistake. I lost weight shortly thereafter and none of that shit fits me anymore. I'm quite content with the cheaper clothing I've since bought from Target, JC Penney and H&M. I've given up on Old Navy completely. Their clothes have gone downhill in the past couple years. They used to be good for basic stuff but no more. Oh, the only thing I'm not afraid to spend good dough on is shoes. I like good shoes!

That's one of the things that irk me.....when people are hung up over buying their babies name brands like that. They're babies....they really coudln't care less.....it's really about the parent showing them off like they're in some pageant.

I mean this nod...no joke!...Chico made me realize, also, that clothes are not really meant to last forever...

i've come to the conclusion that i don't care if someone's a label whore, as long as they don't LOOK like they're a label whore.

i mean, i like kenneth cole stuff a LOT, but i'll wear the stuff with dickies jeans or with my old raggedy chuck taylors or an old vintage shirt. i don't buy "labels" to be impressive or to "fit in" - i honestly like the design of the stuff and how it looks on me. gene meyer stuff looks good on me, so when i can find stuff on sale or clearance at field's, i'll buy it.

people who dress in a way that says, "hey, look at how much i spent on my outfit and look how loyal i am to X brand" annoy the hell out of me. you can be the hottest guy in the world, but if you're wearing a bunch of logos all over your body, i'm over your tired self. barf

I LOVE Gene Meyer, and that is the only way I've ever been able to afford it - on clearance at Fields. Dickies makes these reall neato knee length shorts in many different colors that I love!

as much as I started out wanting to hate Old Navy...I love them boxed I too have gotten some fantastic deals there.

I am sooooo not a label whore, I do wear brand name jeans (Levi's, CK) but that's what fits me shrug I have also found that Nike, Sketcher, and other big name shoe brands do last longer, so I buy a pair on clearance lol

what the hell is name brand? lol i have a few items that are name brand but only because it is of better quality. i shop a lot at Aldis food store,i know its not the best but it stretches my budget. but somethings i just can't get there. i don't like their ketchup or cheese for instance. i gotta have kraft or hines. as far as clothes? i truly don't have a clue. if i like it and its the right price-i buy it. i think my kids dress better than me but i don't buy too much name brand for them either.

Yes absolutely yes. I love Dsquared2, D&G, Gucci, and Versace- jeans, Ts, shirts, belts, shoes! I have a lot of Tommy (love his H brand) and Polo but I don't really think of those as being labels. I shop at Ambercrombie and Holister, same thing- just clothes not labels. But hey I also have some cute shirts from Kmart! And I LOVE me some TJMaxx! I love fine clothes but a great sale also. And since I live in GA, the end of the season sales hit about the time it's ready to wear them.

Oh and nothing but $300 sunglasses for me- Gucci and Versace all the way.
Socks still got butt like a leather seat...
