Why is that sad Mr I get the maid to do it? lol

Because as an adult I would never ask my mom to iron my shirts, and there is nothing wrong with having a maid to do it (among other things!), that's part of her job and she earns good money for it!

Oh, I'm very sly. I would never ASK her to do it. She always asks ME if I have some for her to do, my mother-in-law does the same. I have a pile of ironing that is clothes of 5 people, I never have any time wink I have 3 kids!
The older generation of ladies seem to enjoy ironing (really! - my mum admits it!) and like that they are able to help me out. biggrin

My husband irons a week's worth of his clothes at a time. He wears uniforms. I don't buy anything that needs ironing. I'd rather stand on my head and pound sand up my butt than have to iron clothes. I usually take them straight out of the dryer and hang them up, but on the odd occasion that I need to get a few wrinkles out, I have a little Downy diluted with water in a spray bottle... homemade wrinkle releaser. Works like a charm!

However,
she doesn't refer to herself as my cleaning lady.
She prefers the term 'girlfriend'.

Rhondab

i'm so not my mother's child. She would actually iron ALL of our clothes as soon as she did the laundry. Most of our clothes were ironed and hung up in the closet.

Most of my daughter's clothes are folded in her drawer and I taught her how to iron when she was 8 purely out of my own laziness.

yeah...so what...I'mma lazy ass mother....smile

I fucking HATE ironing mad It's such a waste of time, the shit just wrinkles again anyway. I tend to wear fabrics that don't need much ironing. And I try to take things out of the dryer quickly before they get a chance to wrinkle. I'll only iron something if it's really really bad... redface

ditto.... i have a board n iron and maybe used 2 times n the last 7 yrs falloff i refuse to buy things i have to iron and if it does then its usually somethin that needs to be dry cleaned wink
