It seems highly odd to me that a bird can give you the flu without being able to sneeze. They lack noses, you see.

birds have nostils, 2 to be exact and yes they do sneeze. I have raised birds since 1989, our colds can also be transmitted to them has well. It is transmitted through breathing the same air or being in the same vacinity, just like being around another sick person.

Since i don't put my domesticated birds outside to mingle with wild birds we are safe. And you can also treat birds with anti-botics has well.

I did not know that birds had noses.

Also, do you think chickens know that if they get a person sick that the person will most likely eat chicken noodle soup? That would be weird. Maybe when we get them sick, they try to eat smaller humans to get back at us.

Also, I think you were fibbing when you claimed that birds can sneeze. It was quite humorous.

No i was being quite serious, my birds have had colds before and they do sneeze.

Even one says the virus has to mutate to spread from birds to humans and there is no evidence that has happen. Why don't they just keep an eye on it, and stay busy making medicines just in case?
