Have U read any good Sci-Fi lately? I devoured the entire Star Wars universe of novels, and it gave me the courage to read Frank Herbert's DUNE.
What an incredible story. Better than the movie (of course). I went out and bought book 2 (Dune Messiah) and book 3 (Children of Dune). What good Sci-Fi novels have you read lately? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! | |

Peter F Hamilton's Night Dawn trilogy: The reality dysfuncyion, the naked god and the neutronium alchemist: It takes a while but when you get sucked into that universe.... wow. Warning though, each book is about 1400 pages!
Also Alistair McReynolds Chasm city (and sequels) are good books And ofcourse Greg Bear: If you wanna read about the possible next step in human evolution: Darwin's Radio and Darwin's Children. Thoroughly original: Mixing of the ancient story of Troy and quantum science by Dan Simmons in Ilium. There, that should set you up for the coming months  You don't scare me; i got kids | |

I've never read Dune, though I think I might like it...
You should read His Master's Voice by Stanislav Lem, a great novel. DiminutiveRocker is a big Lem fan. More like a groupie actually.  | |

I keep forgetting to read something from Lem, thanks for reminding 9s!
Oh, and if you have seen some blockbuster Sci-Fi movies in the last couple of years, big chance they were adaptations from the books of Philip K Dick.  You don't scare me; i got kids | |

I'll definitely look into those noted above once I'm done with Dune. Has anyone ever gotten into the Star Trek novels? I've never read one. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! | |

Shadow of the Hedgeman.
Orson Scot Card. It's a paralell series of Novels that follow his Ender series. I'd recommend reading the Ender ones first though even though these are great. | |
