Well, I'm back in California.... tired, tired, tired...
Got up at 3:30 am last Friday, left the hotel by 4:00, got to NYC at 7:30 AM, found a parking garage by 8:15am, got out and trekked thru the city. Hit the Empire State Building first, then hopped on a tour thru the city. Saw Lady Liberty up close and personal - went to Ground Zero.. still touching, the children's art on the wall of the subway was heartbreaking. Hit all the sites I could in the little time I had. Left NYC at 9:00pm, got back to the hotel in Washington, DC at midnight... got up again at 4:00am to drop off our rental and catch our plane in Baltimore, got to California by Noon and visited with my parents... went to bed by Midnight, got up at 5:00am to present at a meeting at my job at 6:00am, stayed at work until 4:30 PM... went home and was in the bed and out by 5:00 PM. Woke up this morning at 5:00 am, and couldn't sleep. How was your weekend? |

Union Station, Smithsonian, Lincoln Memorial, WWII Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Arlington Nat'l Cem., White House, Washington Monument... very cool. Tomorrow, driving to New York!!! I've never been there, so it should be quite interesting... there and back though, kinda bummed about that, would've liked to have more time there than one day, but beggers can't be chosers! Having fun... take care ORG! HAVE FUN! Driving in NY SUCKS! Sometimes I think its best to get in and out of NY as quickly as possible. The driving was mad crazy! I loved it... I drive like that anyway! |
