I loved the Ghostbusters cereal, with tiny marshmallow ghosts inside. Yummy.

i loved smurfberry crunch cereal so much that i'd ask my mom if i could have a bowl of it instead of whatever dinner she prepared. i still miss that cereal, it was awesome...

okay this isnt a cereal but i can't help remembering them when i recall favorite cereals from when i was a kid:

does anybody else remember Carnation Breakfast Bars? they came in a yellow box and yellow individual wrappers, and they freakin tasted like candy bars. i think they also came in a peanut butter flavor, but my favorite was the chocolate chip version. any cereal paled in comparison to these bars for me.

Carnation discontinued them in the early 80s sometime. then they brought them back briefly later on, but totally changed the flavor and consistancy of the bar and they just weren't the same (in fact they were pretty awful ), and now they don't make them at all anymore.

just wondering if anybody else remembered these delicious breakfast bars...

this is the best cereal ever,imo

yeah but does anybody remember Yummy Mummy?? it was fruity, and the commercial was something like "it makes your tummy go yummy!" and had a mummy coming out of a coffin and eating a bowl of the cereal.

i'm glad i'm not the only one here who remembers those breakfast bars! i agree -- they beat out the bars available these days. there was something about the texture of them that i really liked, besides the taste. when they sold them again briefly, Carnation had completely changed the texture which was one of the reasons i didn't like the 'new improved' version.

yeah, the Instant Breakfast drink is good. i have those sometimes (i really like the vanilla) but damn those BARS! i miss em sooo much. probably a lot of my wonderful memory of how good they were is nostalgia for me too though.
