Exactly! He didn't have to be the most charming person ever, but a little bit of credibility would have been in order. Maybe something life-changing had happened to him along the way? Well, if that was the case then it would have been interesting to get a hint as to what it was. Threshold is a new TV series (sorry - I hadn't realized that you were in Europe)...it's about an extraterrestrial vessel that appears in the Atlantic and discharges audio/visual signals aimed at "terraforming" the Earth and it's creatures in their image. It's more complicated tham that, but it's very, very interesting. Like "X-Files" meets "Independence Day". If you ever get the chance to watch it, it's a must-see for any sci-fi geek.
