IPOD question okay so you have to get your music through the program of ITunes..but what if you already have songs on your hard drive that weren't through ITunes...does that mean you can put them on your IPod? and what if you are on another musical downloading site and want to get your song from there...how do you get it on your Ipod???
I don't have an Ipod, but was just inquiring about this...the answer isn't on the apple website. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yes, you can.
But Ipod's don't play .wma so you would need Itunes to convert them that that wierd aac or acc(spelling????) format then to .mp3.

Yea, the converting is kind of a drag if you already have a bunch of music on your computer. Luckily I only had a little to convert, had to start fresh w/ everything else (putting albums in via ITunes)...

Dumb question: I have iTunes 2, I have no idea how to use it, do the new iPods work with this?
I can't even work out how to burn an audio CD with this computer (OS 9.2)

All IPods should work w/ ITunes. As long as you set up each new IPod to work w/ ITunes - they should all come w/ a cd or something. I can't even work out how to burn an audio CD with this computer (OS 9.2)

Thanks, I put the CD in, it says I need to prepare the CD: Standard iTUnes MP3-CD I tried choosing iTunes once, but then nowhere within iTunes could I find a button to burn a CD, there are options under preferences for CD burning, but once I select what I want from here (ie. speed and space between tracks) how do I get the songs from iTunes to a CD?

OH, I thought you were bringing tracks INTO ITunes, not getting them out. That's a different process. To burn:

there is no "burn playlist to disc" option! maybe there's something wrong with my iTunes So you've already created a playlist? When you're on that playlist, does the button in the upper right corner say anything? If it says "burn" try just clicking it & see what happens (I just did it to mine & it turned all blinky, my cd opened & it asked me to insert a disc)...

and every song that you import onto your IPod you have to pay for it on Itunes, right? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

NO... your IPod will play any song you have in ITunes, which includes songs from albums you've burned into your computer, songs you purchase from ITunes, songs from BuyMusic.com that you've converted. Your IPod songs don't have to be purchased directly from ITunes...

really, just install iTunes and play with it, it speaks for itself.....it's pretty fucking easy!
