I'm not sure, but if it's a shiny, stretchy texture, it looks good on taut skin.

All I can say is, I have a funky patent purple pleather hat and it keeps my head warm and dry in winter. lol

You're just imitating something that happens to look good, without having to sacrifice an animal. It's a good thing.
