ReturnOfDOOK said: I get unlimited sick day - I'm not kidding. I've only called in about 4 times in 4 years though....some people do abuse it...
I also get 3 weeks vacation.... Same here, I have unlimited paid sick time and family days etc. I actually just called in sick the other day for the first time in 6 years I'll be making use of the benefits in a couple weeks when I have my surgery tho and the extra time off will be nice

It reminds me of Monty Python's dead parrot skit somehow. "I have a high fever and I have to go home" "No you don't." "Yes, I do, I feel really sick. I can't work" "No, you don't have any sick days left so you're perfectly healthy" "But I'm almost fainting here!" "No, you're not" We're talking PAID time off on top of vacation. Are you saying that you can have unlimited paid sick time where you are. Yes. It wouldn't be full pay, but I think it's around 75% - 80% right now. If you're sick, you're sick; it's not like it's your fault (usually). The Swedish government sucks in many ways but at least we're relatively well taken care of when these things happen.

I never used to use my sick days. I was a "rider". I'd be at work bright and early handlin' my biz. But now my job has done me wrong so I don't give a fuck if I call in or not. I just called in two weeks ago. But as early as I get up I wasn't getting well (try being at work at 5:30am and you are up sick all night). I remember when I sprained my ankle and called out the night before. My boss was like, "You didn't sprain your voice, did you?"
