Is it okay to go out with your Ex's friend?

My opinion, no not really, but if you and your EX are officially broken up and there is no way that you can see yourself with him/her anymore, then hey you are single and free to do and date who you want...they can't really say anything about it.

What's your opinion? Let it rip!!!
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It depends on how close your ex and their friend are...I wouldn't date someone who was really close to an ex of mine, just to avoid awkwardness/confrontation.

If any of my friends tried to date my ex I would kick their ass on pure principal alone.

ooh! Touchy subject. In general, I think it's a bad idea. But there can be exceptions, if all parties can truly be ok with it. But I'd think that's pretty rare.

yeah, what if you go out as a group of friends and the ex comes along. I guess if they are cool with it.

yes.

It also depends on how bad the breakup was. If it was mutual and there were no hurt feelings and both parties had healed and were still friends, then yes, it would be possible.

But now that people matter to me; I say hell to the no. Too many emotions run w/that-- its totally insensitive.

I dated my friend's ex. She was cheating on him the whole time and just kinda kept him around just in case the others didn't pan out. It was 4 years after they dated that we started hanging around. We saw each other everyday for over a year and never touched each other unless it was a hug. She didn't believe me and was pissed about it, so finally I said fuck it and got involved with him. It wasn't wrong, they had been broken up for years...but it still felt weird to me and I would never do it again.

What part? 4 years had gone by and she was horrible to him. Technically it was fair game.

It didn't feel weird until after we broke up. The whole situation was fucked up and at the time it felt right. But man did he turn out to be a looooser!!!!!
