Remember "The Chronic"?

The guy who said he was a University of Michigan graduate (very impressive!), a classically-trained musician (who couldn't figure out Illusion, Coma...) and was not just too fine, but THREE fine. He was from the Golden Triangle, which is the Beaumont-Port Arthur area in Texas.

I drove to Port Arthur a week after Hurricane Rita. There was absolutely no power. And of course, nature called right in the middle of my trip.

The HEB grocery store had some Porta-Potties outside so that's where I went. The Porta-Pottie's inside walls were covered in graffiti. And right over the urinal were these words:

"THE CHRONIC'S BACK, BITCH!"

LMFAO, I wish I'd had my camera. You don't often see University of Michigan graduates announcing their presence on Porta-Pottie walls.

The part about someone claiming this great musical training but couldn't figure how to play rather rudimentary tunes sounds very familiar. This person would rail about all the name guitarists he could outplay on the org Artist Community board but never once posted an example of his supposed expertise.

If this is the same individual, I may have ended up explaining to him how to play the stereo rhythm guitar parts in a certain section of ICPC.

It's was him...

I remember the chronic. biggrin

He and I used to get into it (arguments) a lot. It was funny, because on the boards he was so cocky about females, but privately he was W-H-I-P-P-E-D. pussy

I know because he would approach me off of the boards (orgnotes, orgpops, etc.) to privately discuss his REAL views on what we'd been arguing about.

((And I'm sure this only reinforces your notion of what a ballbreaker I am))

I thought maybe you were running the Chronic's Secret FanClub. giggle

It was funny, but around the same time I moved to Seattle about 3 yrs ago, he moved to the area as well. He tried to get me to meet him and hang out, but I just couldn't.....

I remember that when you moved. I remember how he constantly went on about being a graduate from the university of Michigan and how it was one of the top universitys in the U.S.

Well, anyone who can bring a crazy beast like TheChronic to his kness can't be a ballcaresser, that's for sure. razz

Seriously though, I don't think you're a ballbreaker. I've already told you that.

Lleeeeena! heart

Yes, he would intentionally say really extreme stuff and then privately approach me to explain the little game he was playing on the site. Even knowing it was just for fun, it still used to piss me off, though, because his nasty comments about women would get some of the other Org guys riled up and supportive of him, and they were serious about it.

He used to rile people up a lot, some of it was so over the top it was laughable. I cant imagine how he got support for such stuff. Also, his whole no woman can resist me thing, lol.

It was all tongue in cheek though, and occasionally very amusing indeed.

The last time I ever heard from the Chronic was right before the Houston shows last year. I told him I'd bring a couple guitars to the pre-show bash and buy his beer if he'd favor us with his fantastic guitar playing.

I think that's right about the time dude left the Org...LOL.

I always knew (or at least hoped) that he wasn't serious. Anyone who spewed the retarded crap that came from him shouldn't be taken seriously anyway.

I used to love taking him down a notch. Serious or no, he needed to be cut down to size. I mean, he came from the hole known as Port Arthur! How refined could he truly be? A port-a-pottie is where he announced his return? Fitting.
