Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

I have no idea what you are going to do on Thursday but for me, if there's a limited and specific time that I need to stay healthy, I can usually strike a deal with my body. I concentrate on staying healthy and my body usually agrees, even when the illness has already started a bit. The price to pay is that I most of the time get more sick than usual once the event is over and I have to allow the illness to run its course.

Zicam works good, but there are reports that it can permanently damage your sense of smell and taste.

Lots of vitamin C ,

zinc three times daily ( the ones with at least 50 mg),

lots of echinacea ( preferrably fresh juice from the health food store),

freshly ground ginger with lots of honey infused in water ,

smoke some weed but not too much,

drink a good beer but lukewarm ( good beer, not some watery stuff, get the real deal, something German or Dutch or Czech or Polish but good beer),

eat hot and spicy stuff with lots of fresh garlic ( some of those ramen products work miracles),

eat chicken soup if you´re not a vegetarian cause it contains lots of cystein
which boosts your immune system in situations like this,

eat boiled eggs,

drink lots of hot herbal tea with honey,

drink sage tea,

linden flower tea,

eat fruits ( kiwis are the bomb in this case),

dissolve aspirin in hot water with a freshly squeezed lemon and honey,

eat plain yoghurt with acidophiluls cultures...

Get well soon , I know how it feels...having a cold is just fucked up.

And sleep a lot .

Hey JD...I'm feeling the start of a cold too today sad sat at my desk in work just popping lots of pills and am off to bed with all manner of chemist stuff. You need to take something with paracetamol and then Nurofen Cold n flu or similar...you can take both if u take them 2 hours apart. If you're gonna get a cold, it'll happen anyway, but these just make it a bit less unpleasant.

While I'm blowing into my hankie hon, I'll be thinking of u doing the same later in the week eek

And whatever you're doing on Thursday, hope the cold doesn't spoil it!

Take care hon, see u in Manchester soon (I might even drive and offer u a lift in my lovely new car!) xx

Take care of yourself !!!!

Spoil youself with blanket, socks, TV, ice cream (hot tea is good but where there is throat pain, cold is helping)

And being seek now is a signal, beware, or you won't be strong for winter.

What the Lady said before is brilliant, but it's a lot to eat in one day !!!

Take everything that has been mentioned on this thread all at once. I'm sure you'll get other things than your cold to worry about. nod

I have found that I can curb a cold or lessen the severity by taking vitamins, vitamin C, echinachea, getting LOTS AND LOTS of rest, upping my fluid intake, and laying low - meaning no drinking, no drugs, no smoking, and not going out. It's totally worth it.

Not just any old vitamin C though, the granules/crystals are the best & most potent - you can get them from GNC. I take that 3 or 4 times a day, either dissolve a half teaspoon in water or sprinkle it in my tea (it tastes like lemon so it's perfect for tea). Also I use the echinacea/zinc/vitamin C tea...

What I do when I get a cold:

1. Fire up the old hot glue gun.

2. Shoot some of that shit directly into my eye.

Suddenly, the cold is the least of my worries and I can go about my business as usual!
