The First Black Gay TV Show: Noah's Arc

After several years, numerous film festivals, dozens of audiences, and lots of controversy, America's first black gay television series sets sail on Logo. The show, "Noah's Arc," centers around four black gay men in Los Angeles and their love, lives and relationships. It's groundbreaking television, even if only because it's never been done before. But it also provides an entertaining introduction to black gay men.

Much like the original Noah's Ark from biblical accounts, "Noah's Arc" the television series is larger than life. It's bigger than the director, the actors, or even the television network. It's about the community of black gays, bisexuals, and lesbians finally being recognized as something other than a comedic caricature for the entertainment of heterosexual audiences.

This show was originally being distributed on line and then they got bought. I'm so glad. They need to show the other two fine ass guys that are on the show also. That's not the entire cast in the picture.

My friend that lives in L.A. is an extra in a couple of episodes. I don't get LOGO in my area yet.

Yes Yes! I have LOGO and I watched it last week. I love it. The weirdest part was seeing the places I hang out at on the show lol The writing is very witty and smart. I was laughing the whole time. I will be hooked now. It was sooo cute and already covered a hot issue/topic in the first episode. I only wish it was on cable to I can hear some profanity and see QAF type of sex LOL

I sooooo wish I had Logo so I could see this show. It's about time the black gay community gets represented. Great news. Maybe it'll come out on DVD next year.

I'll need to watch this one before I issue an official comment, but a few things:

1) Why must LGBT shows all have these uber-polished characters? I mean, I'd rather these guys look like this than, say, a homeless Jimmy Walker, but do we all look like we just left a salon and spa? Look at these bruhs! They look like a CoverGirl ad!

2) Who is the guy in the rainbow stripes?! (He's too pretty, but he's still kinda hot.)

3) Does anyone know if the show is loaded with gratuitous sex like QAF? If so, I ain't watching.

4) The title is gonna stir some sh*t among more conservative circles.

Those four dudes aren't comedic caricatures? They all look like variations of Dwayne Edwards and Antoine Marryweather. I'm already as annoyed with them as I am with the gay white characters on TV, and I haven't even watched the show.
