i'm not spending over $100 for 3 kids costumes hmph!mad
what happened to the old skool costumes from back in the day...you know that came in the little box, you get the little full body suit with the plastic mask (with the rubber band around the back)...

why do people put orange lights around their house? it looks stupid. now we have xmas lights, halloween lights, easter lights, 4th of july lights... mad
you look better on your facebook page than you do in person hmph!

OK, first off, all other holidays pale in comparison to the fun that is halloween.
Secondly, with a little invention, you can get all crafty and make a costume for fairly cheaply. I do it every year. OK, probably not all that cheaply with the stuff I make. But in any case, you CAN do it cheaply.
Thirdly, orange lights are flattering. Much more so than the clash of red and green.

We have purple icicle type lights, never put them up though...my friend used them for her wedding reception when she got married on Halloween 4 years ago (it was a Wednesday and the costume reception was Saturday...)

I noticed that the costumes are more like clothes now. When I was younger costumes were plastic with plastic masks that you wore once and threw away. Your were lucky to get through the night with your costume.

I also remember those boxes with the mask sitting on top. There were no special halloween pails to carry - just your pillow case. Things are more complicated.

Its worth spending the money on kids costumes because the memories and pictures will last forever. But if you go to KMart or Target you will not have to spend $33 bucks for a costume. Also, if you go to a used store such as Goodwill you can get Halloween costumes real cheap.

I'm loving you more and more every day! love

This year I'm a bumblebee, since I've been wearing my costume to work since Friday. You'd be surprised how it raises employee morale! lol The wings, antennae, and tights cost $16, and I've gotten really good use out of it.

Seriously, local fabric stores have tons of fabulous stuff (well, maybe not so much anymore, as Halloween is three days away). Check it out sometime. You'd be surprised. Plus, the nearer Halloween gets, the cheaper the fabric gets. They also sell premade costumes!
I mean, like, where is the sun?
