A gentlemen never need ask this question? It's not 1950. It's 2005. It needs to be asked. Why the double standard, Heiress?? Women are not helpless little creatures. They can take care of themselves. They are obviously strong enough to slap a guy in the face.

And what are college people play fighting for anyway. That's grade school behavior.

But seriously, she has a terrible temper which up until a year or so ago could lead her to get violent. She used to slap me, push me, kick out, and stand on the bed screaming out so the whole street could hear. I'm a very non-confrontational person and very, very rarely get even slightly angry, which always allowed me to be in control and let things play out. However, after a while, seeing the red marks on my arms and back and having to go through the inevitable calming down and making up, and despite the make up sex, I decided it just couldn't continue, no matter how much I understood the reasons for her behaviour and sympathised with her. The whole thing was just tiring for us both. We talked about it a lot and she learned to control herself and now everything is cool. She can still do the shrill screaming thing but she never slaps or anything anymore. We give each other a little space on the rare occasion we argue and now she's much more capable of just talking things through rationally and reasonably. Feels good.

In today's society it would even be frowned upon if a guy threw a drink in a woman's face. That's how the double standard is.
