Oh my God, my suspicion has been confirmed. The Star Trek community is going to be reeling from this.

alright, lemme expound on this a bit: coming out is a pretty serious thing--and just like ripher2shreds said, it ain't at all about who you have sex with. people who aren't quite attuned to homosexuality and what it is tend to look at it as simply that, the sexual aspect of it. "ohhhhh, he has sex with other men??? she likes other women??? wha?" much like those who are heterosexual, those of us who are gay are much, much more than who we are intimate with. also, if nobody came out to begin with, regardless of social status, then the world would be hell for those who are gay. i'd be absolutely miserable too if i held in the fact that i'm gay and didn't allow myself to say so.

...and right on for ms. swoopes. horns

Good piont.

You don't think that as Bisexual that you have a choice of who you sleep with? I know that you don't have a choice in who you fall in love with but you are attracted to both sexes, right?

Saintstation gave me the impression that he like both men and women because of his comment.

And I'm only speaking for myself when I say I was born gay. I wasn't molested, I've had crushes on the same sex since I can remember.(5 yrs old I think.)

We have the same kinds of choice anyone else does -to act on our attractions or not to. Bisexuals just happen to have a wider field of choice than straights and gays. wink

For the past 6 months I've been with a guy, but in the future -who knows? What matters is their heart and mind, and a person's sex doesn't make any difference to me until I've got their clothes off.

I think he's saying you have more choices than he or I do by virtue of the fact that you are attracted to both sexes and we are not, not that you have a "choice" nod

I wasn't entirely clear what he meant. So many people have whateverthefuck shitty reason for thinking less of bi's that it's easy to misinterpret even an innocent comment to be something more malicious or ignorant.

I tried not to attack with my post though. Hope I didn't come across as stupid. smile

Peace, I never meant to make it sound like I was against Bisexual people or that I didn't believe in Bisexuality.
