It isn't a space, it's an evil hag who kidnaps you and drags you, kicking and screaming, over to the other side. The Normal Whores Club

see but what is THAT space? It's a crossroads, and also a kind of limbo. Comfortable because you haven't invested any intense emotion but also frustrating becasue you want to but cannot decide whether to. perhaps.

see but what is THAT space? Technically, it's called the "emotional taint".

It's at the moments the pronouns change.
I becomes We and Mine becomes our. Life is thought of in terms of another. At this moment, your are able to think less of yourself and more about another. Your dreams are no longer centered around what it is that you want. At this moment you realize that life with this person becomes more exciting and fulfilling. You do not want to go back to a time when this person was not in your life. At this moment, you are willing to write a fairy tale.

For me personally, I've never been in a place where I couldn't define it emotionally. "Like" is enjoying that person's presence without having any desire to turn it into something emotionally, romantically and sexually intimate. "Love" is an undeniable connection on an emotional, spiritual and sexual level, and there's no other desire than to make it reality between you both.
All the stuff in between is infactuation, lust, attraction...sugar-fueled versions of "Like", and watered-down versions of "Love".
