So many of us spend so much time
work so hard at gaining an education, a degree, at amassing enough fortune, enough influence in hopes of making some kind of difference. All she did was take one moment to follow her heart & she affected history. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Thanx for the front seat, Rosa.

God Bless Rosa and her family. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Heard on the radio this morning.
All who knew her must have been so proud to have known her. RIP. [Edited 10/25/05 8:05am] Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

ms rosa Such a brave and gentle soul...she was so beautiful and soft-spoken...a complete lady...she wasn't the one someone would expect such boldness from...I'm proud that she and her husband decided to call my home town their home for so many years. She was considered a walking treasure here in Detroit...and I'm happy she lived such a long, healthy life and her passing was quiet and peaceful. Thank you, Mrs. Parks.

Very sad to see her go. I worked on a documentary about her for CNN and she had an amazing life with amazing strength. The bus strike was based on her decision and at that time, to stand up to the establishment could have killed her.
Everyone owes her a debt of gratitude: for opening the door for many minorities and for holding a mirror to those who oppressed. You will be missed, Ms. Parks. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018.
