The only meat I eat is chicken and tuna. I live off chicken, tuna and cheese. I didn't need toothpaste because I found a new unopened tube in the bathroom earlier. I only bought 200 cigs because I'm trying to cut down to five a day.

I'll still have to buy more bits during the month, but I can get them from the corner shop as and when I need them.

Yeah, I would have bought more but they take up too much room in the freezer. I've already got two in storage.

You get about 18 slices, so if you have two slices toasted with the Smart Price Baked Beans on top (13 pence), you have a meal for 14.38p!!!

The Smart Price instant coffee at 29p has quite a weird taste. It's like airport lounge coffee. It tastes like treacle or mollasses or something - sort of burnt. It's probably not even coffee - who knows? It's not unpleasant, just a bit odd-tasting. I serve it to my guests and drink the filter coffee myself. Ha!

Ooh, I forgot loo roll.

Oh that's so neat! I wish I could order up some groceries and booze. About the cigs- you said 200. Is that 200 smokes a day as in 10 packs!? Are you cutting down to 5 a day or 5 packs a day? eek

No, just five cigarettes a day. I only smoke about ten a day as it is.

I only bought one item of booze and that's this cheapo version of Baileys Irish Cream called "Irish Knights". It's not even got whiskey in it, it's a mixture of cream and white wine. It looks like magnolia paint and is possibly very bad for your arteries. My friends refer to it as "Irish Bog".

Yeah, he was slobbering all over my neck and hugging me on my doorstep. It was very odd. He said, "I'm not gay. I don't want you getting the wrong idea or anything." I was like... eek

With that, he grabbed my hand, shoved it down his tracksuit pants and said, "See? I'm not hard."

He had a semi.

That's the best story I've heard all day!
I mean, like, where is the sun?

But it's not always fun. I mean, I live underneath a crack-dealer. People on this estate seem to die all the time.

The person whom rented my flat before me actually drowned to death in here - and I don't even have a bath!

Apparently, he was an alcoholic with epilepsy. An ex-military man called Eric. He had a fit in the shower cubicle; cracked his head against the wall; passed out and landed face-down in the shower sump, with his legs on the bathroom floor. He must have blocked up the plug-hole with his face or something. Apparently, the neighbours only realised that something was wrong when the water flooded into the lobby from under my front door.

I inadvertently had a wake for another neighbour a few months ago. I only knew him from sight. He looked like Jesus and smelled of stale piss. All the crazies congregated in my flat, crying into their cans of super-strong lager. I disenfected every surface after they'd left.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry for you. hug

Sorry, I didn't mean to seem as if I was taking the piss - I remember many of your posts from ages ago and I know things get quite 'testing'. I hope you're a lot more comfortable in the area.

But more stories - you have a gift for them. nod

I'm paying off debts that I ran up in my twenties. I'm trying to live cheaply. The rent's only £40 a week!

I've paid off about £9,000 whilst I've been here over the last 36 months.

When my repayments get down to under £75 a month, I'm out of here!!!
