Question for Computer Geeks (Redux) You might remember I posted a little while back about how Nero was telling me my disc tray was empty when I was trying to back-up files to a rewritable CD on an older computer.
Someone had posited that perhaps the problem was that the drive was not able to write to rewritable discs. Now, I just noticed that the disc-tray door says "Compact Disc ReWritable" on it. A friend of mine thinks the "ReWritable" may just refer to the fact that you can write to a disc on this; that it may predate the current-day definition of "rewritable". Is this possible? ![]()

It seems going from computer to computer and writing on CD-RWs does not work for me unless I write in the same one I'd formatted in. One of the drives was a bit older, however, which I just sold on eBay for a measley $5.01. Perhaps the newer drives are more compatible with each other.
