MP3 Player talk...Techies, COME TALK 2 ME.

So i'm looking into getting a new MP3 player---


NOT THE I-POD. I've played w/ several i-pods and i just am not a fan of the software-- there are delays and the design just bores me.


I was looking into either the I-river 5 GB

or the

Olympus m:robe MR-500i (20 gigs) w/Digital Camera-- i really favor this one, esp. since i dont have a digital camera.

Any of u guys able to suggest a 20 gig player w/good hardware and software?

Well, i don't have any of the above - i have a 40GB Nomad by Creative that I bought last year and which has been serving me very well on a daily basis. It travels well, the music transfer software works nicely and is easy to use, and most importantly, i got a 40gb mp3 player for just under $200. (I found it online for $225 with a $30 off online coupon)

I'm really impressed with Creative's mp3 stuff - it all seems really sturdy, and they compromise a lot of marketing flash and sparkle to save you money on good products. AND there was buzz about a certain purple SOMEone maybe having a Nomad model like what U2 and Madonna have done w/ iPod...hmmm

Co-Sign. I have the 60GB Nomad and it's amazing. Good stuff and much more compatible than an ipod.
