Well, turn-ups look good on jeans. Just buy some Wonder-Under and iron the fuckers! smile I go through a pack of this stuff about once every two months as it invariably disintegrates in the wash and my turn-ups flop down again.

oh, i have no problem finding jeans in my size. pants and slacks and whatnot, that's what i have a big issue with. can't really cuff those. even if i could, cuffing slacks is still SO mid-80s. no no no!

I was going to say cuffing is NOT in style here.

20 bucks!!!...that's close to Dry Clean Rape!

ya know?!?

I am here to tell you...you CAN find it cheaper. For tailoring step a little away from your hood and check out prices. There is one at Clarendon and Buena I used to go to...anyway check around for a cheaper tailor. Usually can be found at one of those "We do your laundry by the pound" kinda places. You are paying Boys town prices. nod

Hemming is not that hard. Pain in the ass...but it's among the easier things to sew.

they have some fun t-shirts, like pink t-shirts with the "TAB" diet soda logo on it and an old-skool Sprite soda logo on a green t-shirt, but they're all size XXXXL, and i cannot be The Sexy in a baggy shirt, no. hmph!

That XXL crap burns me up! I was in Old Navy (a rare occasion) I would have gotten more stuff...but everything...and I mean about 90% of it was Medium and larger...with appx 70% being in the XL range. No smalls at all.

I have the opposite problem @ Old Navy...I need Larges and everything is XSmall & Small.

you know, all the dry cleaners by my apartment keep closing down. we lost two of them in the last year. just about everything on the block between patterson and addison is vacant - the cornershop, two of the dry cleaners, that weird alleged lesbian bathhouse place - i'm scurred it's gonna be all coldstone creameries and starbucks on my block by the end of the year. boxed

Try shopping for women's pants which don't even come in various lengths. Occasionally you get store that do petite, regular and tall, but with only 3 choices, most have to hem virtually everything. It's annoying!

I have short legs...pants are ALWAYS too long. Even "short" length jeans. It's a damn good thing I have the best grandma in the world to hem everything for me biggrin

Well, maybe you could start a trend!

Obviously not for slacks, as Anxy pointed out - just jeans.

I often leave the house wearing a checked flat-cap, horizontal-striped T-Shirt, a pinstriped navy blazer, turned-up jeans and suede loafers.

They have dozens of "mix ins" (m&m's, nestle crunch, brownies, berries, bananas etc, etc, etc.) and mix them into your ice cream before serving it. drool

They're in the East Bay too, and there's even one in Santa Cruz. The employees have to sing whenever you tip them. Their ice cream is so-so.

Y'all need to come to Texas and try Amy's Ice Cream! There aren't that many of them, since its a small company (Austin based), but they are sooooo good! They kick Cold Stone's ass! For that matter, they kick EVERYONE'S ass! Amy's Mexican Vanilla is my favorite ice cream on the planet!!!
