this show is good background noise...i really don't like the animation or the characters very much - i know people moan when ya call it a simpsons knock-off, but it's like the simpsons without the self-effacing charm - but i will admit, about once or twice in an episode, something will blurt out that makes me cackle. i guess they've taken an unoriginal idea and done justice to it with really funny writing.

yeah, i remember that show vaguely...though the fast timing, cynicism and pop culture references have 'simpsons' written all over 'em. shrug

I sit on the fence with this one. It's not that I don't like it. I like Stewie and the dog gets a few in here and there. I also prefer Megs voice to be voiced by that chick from That 70's show. And there are moments that are funny. However those moments usually have nothing to do with the actual plot and are made just for reference and no other reason. I don't find the animation to be all that...a little too Hanna Barberra for me...nothing sticks out.

And my biggest thing with the show is the Lois putting up with Peters antics. Their relationship, unlike the Simpsons is completely unbelievable.

I adore it.

You gotta love it - if only for the occasional no-meaning-whatsoever-but-we'll-throw-it-in-anyway appearances of 'Greased-up deaf guy' lol

I'd love to stop and chat but I think you;re a total bitch.

Wow! I didn't know that! biggrin

Seriously though, it tries to gain a moral balance with family and the Dad is just annoyingly bad and unfather.husband like. And it fails because Peter never learns anything. At least in the Simpsons I believe Homer loves his family and actually learn lessons...in Family guy I get just the opposite.

Again, you've missed the point of the programme. Please give me another sarcastic reaction. I never tire of those.
