Black Books is really funny, the guy in it, Dylan moran, hes my fave comedian. Hes just hilarious! You should try and seek him out, on dvd or something. Or just hang about Edinburgh during the Festival as I have no choice but to do!

When I was a kid, I used to ask my mother for a cup of coffee - just before The Young Ones started - then sip it slowly over the next half hour. That way, I had an excuse not to go to bed (and I could watch the programme).

I'm sure she knew what I was up to. rolleyes lol

You're gettin' that shit over there? lol Admittedly, the standard isn't quite De Niro, Pacino or even the Ferreiras from Eastenders, but Laila Rouass is one fine east London lass drooling

You guys should check out "Bottom" (the earlier episodes). Not as funny as "The Young Ones" but certainly worth a watch thumbs up!

I went round my neighbours last night. To borrow a drill. But they weren't in, so I ate their fishtank.

I love the young ones. And Bottom is in some ways funnier then the young ones (those group interludes are often dull).

Bottom is so immature. My brother reckons keenan and kel is like a younger version of bottom lol

I hope u americans get "only fools and horses" over there. Its fantastic.

The central perfomance of del boy is so good. And rodney is great too. By far the most realistic brothers ever on a tv screen.

Don't catch the late ones though, they are crap compared to the ones in the 80's. Love that show, even though i have seen them all 100's of times now lol

eek

lol I would've never imagined that show could've translated over State side.
There's a lot of subjective humour in GGM, as well as "in-jokes". In fact (eventually), the show was a bigger hit here with non-Asian viewers than Asian biggrin

The majority of the limelight was always hogged by Bhaskar and Syal (they're married to each other now!, as of last year) but my favourites were Kulvinder Ghir and Nina Wadia thumbs up!
