That said, I refuse to think of Logan, Michael, and Jason as names for cute little girls, no matter what. I'm not one to hold onto gender roles just for the sake of it, and in fact I think everyone would be better off without them, but names like those above are just so butch I can't think of them as anything but boy's names. Logan to me is Wolverine of the X-Men, not some vision of pink lace. I think names that have traditonally been boys' names and more recently co-opted for girls like Lindsay, Ashley, Shannon, etc. would be darned cute for a boy, but I'm no fan of them as girl's names. my actual name is Jessica Deanne Copeland. I was named after my grandfather his name was Jesse Dean. Which is all well and good, but I always hate it when people call me jessie. People always call me Jess and my mother is the only one who calls me Jessica and she only does that when she was mad at me. 27 years old and I still get in trouble with my mother... I also hated it when I was in school because there were 5 other Jessicas in my class besides me. So its pretty common of a name and I don't like that.
If I was to change my name I would make it....Lucy....and my favorite name for a boy is Kirby. | |
