I have to give my baby his antibiotics soon

I have to syringe it down his throat poor little thing. He has cottoned on to the flavour and won't have it even disguised in other stuff sad it's harder than worming the cat.

I have to syringe medicine down my iguana's throat twice a day. He doesn't care at all for it either. About a week ago he choked on the med and I had to give him CPR! Hopefully you'll have better luck with your son smile

disbelief its awful. he managed his whole first year without even one trip to the doc, now he got the flu and strep throat all at once. when he is well he sucks down the medicine, notwhen he is sick and really needs it. sad

Yes, I can laugh at it now lol lol

But at the time it was DEADLY serious and scary! How many people can say that they have given an iguana CPR????

Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh at YOUR iguana, just the image that came to mind hug so he recovered fully?

hug yes thanks, he is much better already - today he's almost back to his normal smiling self. We had the doctor make 2 housecalls over the weekend we got so worried, his breathing was really fast and he kept falling asleep wherever he was. Scary, but he is a sturdy little individual.

Oh, I didn't get upset with you at all hug I was seriously saying that that stuff is FUNNY once I look back on it! The lizard is only 5 months old and fits in the palm of my hand. My son was STANDING RIGHT THERE when the lizard started choking and turned BLACK! So, I HAD to do SOMETHING!!! I had never given CPR to ANYTHING, much less an iguana! Yes, he is much better, but still requires meds twice a day and I have to BATHE him!!! It's like having anothr kid!

More importantly, I hope your son gets better really soon. Strep throat is a b***h. Hang in there. hug

Yeah. He's cute right now. In time he'll grow to be 4-6 feet long! He will also live to be about 15-20 years old. He's my reptilian son.

First, let me say that I'm not trying to change the flow of your thread. Sorry if I'm talking to much about me sad

Now, back to me wink : Yes, this is a commitment that I did not enter into voluntarily. My ex gave it to my son (yeah, right) as a GIFT! Who the hell does that?? Right now the iguana has two terrariums ( he goes to my ex's on the weekends) and he also has a small room in the house to himself.

Don't worry, I've quite finished talking about my son - he's gone to bed for a nap now, no more squirming on my lap for the minute.

That was not a gift, that was revenge! eek

nod Tell me about it! Now, even after my son is grown and gone we'll still be sharing custody of this damn iguana! lol But I have fallen in love with him though (the iguana, NOT the ex), and I guess giving him CPR pretty much sealed the deal: THE LIZARD IS MINE heart

I now exactly how you feel! neutral
My daughter is having to take hers for the next 5 days and she's already complaining about it. I have to bribe her with my singing.

If she takes it, I don't sing to her. hmm
