In Her Shoes was a surprisingly good movie with great performances by Toni Collette and Shirley MacLaine. Red Eye was a tense, little (under 90 minutes) thriller. I'd see either of those.

40 Year Old Virgin was also really funny. It's got a sweet edge to it that made it a little less typical. I see almost any movie with Catherine Keener, and she was very good in this. The chest waxing scene alone is hysterical. I can't believe he actually did that to himself on film!

no good, huh? Cute subject matter, but not too deep. Way too long. Needs to be edited down. Pretty weak IMO. Kids might like it.

I LOVE CATHERINE KEENER. I don't remember what movie I saw her in first. There's this great movie, that I can't remember the name of, with her and Steve Buscemi. It's about film making. She has this incredible scene where she's practicing a scene. I loved that movie. Some people might not like it though. Oh Oh I think it's called LIVING IN OBLIVION.
