Anyway, I'm sorry I missed you all (I'll not be such a chicken when next I'm up), and for those of you going up, you're gonna have a great time! awwww... don't be so shy next time!! You were hanging in my hood. I could have walked on over to see you. I LOVE Chaing Mai Thai and the Uptown bar is an Uptown mainstay. We had lunch there last year for the invasion. It's also the place where such bands as the Replacements (YAY!) and Soul Asylum ( ) got their start. Glad you had such a good time here. I love it when people love Minneapolis. |

okay...i'm still down for the meet-up on saturday afternoon, but as for eating/drinking stuff saturday and sunday night, money's still up in the air for me. i dunno if i'm gonna get paid this saturday or if my paycheck's gonna wind up in my bank account on monday--if it ends up that way, i'ma be pissed. the majority of my last paycheck's going towards late rent today...i'll try and see if i'll be able to scrounge up some money tomorrow (twenny bucks, i won't need too much), but if not i probably won't be able to tag along for the bar crawl n'stuff. i'm really hoping i'll be able to, but it's up in the air right now and i don't wanna mooch off of anyone.
if i am able to go, do any of ya'll kitties know if they serve non-alcoholic stuff at bobino's/the elbow room? i've never been there before...i've passed by the place on my way over to query booksellers but that's as close as i've been. forgot an "as" edit [Edited 10/18/05 9:37am] | |

Bobino/Elbow Room might have some yummy sodas too and will likely have yummy coffees as well. Of all the places we plan to take folks that night, none have a cover charge, except maybe one, if we end up there, and that would be the last place of the evening and it's no more than $5-6. None of the places we're goin on Sunday have a cover charge, and I think most of us will be eating before hand so it's just whatever you want to drink. You should be able to do the vast majority of the events without spending much $ at all! [Edited 10/18/05 10:23am] |
