No matter what you've seen, there will always be a better sunrise.

I work on a high-numbered floor in a big office building in downtown Chicago. When I got off the elevator this morning, I couldn't help but do a double take as I noticed the lobby was completely consumed by golden light.

I looked out the window and saw what had to be the most gorgeous sunrise of my entire life. The sun was just a pinch above Lake Michigan, and every ripple in the lake was illuminated with gold. The sky was every single shade of blue and pink, with the clouds looking perfectly placed and gorgeous.

As I walked down the hall to my office, I had to stop in front of every open door and marvel at the golden light reflecting off the skyscrapers around our building. The view out of every single window was just astonishing. I wish I'd had a camera, but it wouldn't have done justice.

Mornings rock. Never thought I'd say that....

I love mornings (well, as long as I wasn't at the bar the night before). My favorite mornings are road trip mornings. In the car for the whole sunrise, good people, good music, GOOD STUFF.

minneapolis sunsets are kick-ass, too...i live downtown, and the skyline is literally outside my window. the reflection of the sun plays off of some of the buildings at times, and the sunrises/sunsets here are sometimes incredible.

We get MANY pretty sunsets here...the sky gets all purple and pink. It's very lovely. Haven't seen a sunrise out here...I'm usually asleep!
