I want to get hte new iPod (even though I have a 20gig 3g ipod already) so I can watch my Prince and Sheila videos with me on the go

I heard you can convert existing MPEGs to iPod video using quicktime pro which I have.

I jsut tried it. But it took like 60 minutes to convert my MPEG of Sheila on SNL doing Holly Rock .... and then I played it in iTunes and there was NO SOUND!!!!!

I'm worried that if I do get the new iPod it will take forever to convert and they may not play.

Anyone try this yet?

PS i'm using an iBook G4 800mhz
