Dogs make better pets than cats!

i don't see why people like cats so much. i had one, and i swear id never even saw the damn thing half the time...i just knew he was around by the turds in the kitty litter. My dogs, on the other hand, jump up and down when i come home from work, always want to play and like to sleep at the foot of my bed.

Dogs rule

whatever.

i grew up with dogs and they shed, poop on the carpet, and love to drool all over people. if i wanted that in my life, i'd get married.

i much prefer cats. they do their own thing, they're neat, and every once in a while they'll come over and check in and give a little love. much more my speed.

Cats : cute, cuddly, affectionate, cheap to feed, self-cleaning, don't need to be walked, and if properly trained they go outside to shit, and they cover it up.

Dogs : not so cute, slobbery, annoyingly needy, will eat anything in sight including non-edible items such as clothing, shoes, chairs, computer cables and their own faeces, not self-cleaning - they stink after a couple of days and require regular bathing, need to be walked every day - even when it's pissing rain, and they'll shit anywhere and never cover it up.

Cats are cool, and they rule.

I'm a cat person. biggrin

I don't mind dogs if they're well behaved and properly trained, but I'd never own one.

I'm a tigger one and allergic. And cats are very afraid of me.

I love dogs. Mine is a heart with great fur around to hug. llama

I love my dog. I cant live without my dog.

He doesnt poop on the carpet, hardly drools, he listens, and is in a good mood 99% of the time. Ok so he sheds like crazy and is over protective.

Cats are moody, lazy, and it seems like they always have some type of worm YUK!!!

I never saw the appeal of dogs.....I don't really hate em' though. I've always had cats around the house. Certain dogs I think I can tolerate, like my aunt's dog. He's not too big and fairly trained , so she doesn't have to worry about cleaning up dog shit and piss all over the place.

I've owned both, and I love both... heart

Although, dogs can bark too much, and cats can rip the hell out of your furniture...

Love dogs and cats, but prefer dogs.

I guess it's more of a personality thing. I can see where some people would prefer cats because they're quieter and less maintenance. But I LOVE coming home and seeing my dogs standing at the door barking for me. I love going for walks with them as well, playing catch with them, etc...

I love my Boxer, Charlie, and don't mind taking care of him. He gives me so much love and makes me so happy. He's always loyal. When my boyfriend and I fight, I can always count on Charlie to lay sleep with me, cuddle me, and just give me unconditional love.

I've lived with both all my life, and cats are generally better. It just depends on the personality of the cat. My favorite cat comes up to the door when anyone comes home, meows at me if I talk to her, and is usually up for being snuggled. The other cat is a bit standoffish (because she was feral when she was young, i guess), likes to hide, and you've got a 50/50 chance of being snapped at if you pet her.

Reminds me of the cat that belonged to the roommate of my girlfriend in college...very pretty black and white cat, but standoff-ish. One time while waiting for my gf to return home, I was sitting in their apartment, and the roommate's cat climbs up on the couch and sits on my lap, purring...since this cat is hardly ever friendly, I took it as a good sign, and started petting it. It looked content and comfortable, and I enjoyed feeling like it wanted some affection instead of acting like it hated the entire world.

After a few minutes, the cat looked up at me, and I stared back down at it while petting its back...I smiled...lowered my face towards it by about an inch...and the fucker reached up and swatted me across the face, putting two gashes in my cheek with its claws. It then jumped down and went into hiding.

I'm assuming that the cat had experienced some serious abuse when younger (it was from an animal pound) and was reliving a moment of its past...but damn, that hurt... lol
