it isnt acne ladies.....

I think I ve bought every prescription/product that could be bought for acne.
I tried the natural remedies as well. Monday I woke up with, again, the side of my cheek irritated, inflamed, red as fire. I couldnt take it anymore. I made another docs appt. This doc looked at me at said, im these exact words...."
whats on your face isnt acne, its rosecea" Rose...what????? anyway, the dermatologist was in the building so i lucked out. He was called in to look at my face...(2nd opinion). YUP, its rosecea. Some women get rosecea between the ages of 30 and 40. Its bad on my left side, but my nose and my right side of my face are pretty clear. The acne med that I was putting on my face was making it worse. sad OK, the cost to find I have rosecea.

20.00 for the office visit
40.00 for the face cream
15.00 for the pills
10.00 for gas to get to the docs...
$85.00, not counting time off work....

3 refills of the stuff i used until yesterday.....40.00*3 120.00
DAMN, MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN, DONT YOU HATE IT???

DAMN, they better be right this time.....

Rosacea cannot be cured, but it can be controlled. Click here to learn more about this conspicuous condition.
osacea (pronounced roh-ZAY-sha) is a common but little-known disorder of the facial skin that affects an estimated 14 million Americans -- and most of them don't know it. In fact, while rosacea is becoming increasingly widespread as the populous baby boom generation enters the most susceptible ages, a Gallup survey found that 78 percent of Americans have no knowledge of this condition, including how to recognize it and what to do about it.

Because of its red-faced, acne-like effects on personal appearance, however, it can cause significant psychological, social and occupational problems if left untreated.

In recent surveys by the National Rosacea Society, nearly 70 percent of rosacea patients said this condition had lowered their self-confidence and self-esteem, and 41 percent reported it had caused them to avoid public contact or cancel social engagements. Among rosacea patients with severe symptoms, nearly 70 percent said the disorder had adversely affected their professional interactions, and nearly 30 percent said they had even missed work because of their condition.

While the cause of rosacea is unknown and there is no cure, today medical help is available that can control the signs and symptoms of this potentially life-disruptive disorder. Any one of the following warning signs is a signal to see a dermatologist or other knowledgeable physician for diagnosis and appropriate treatment before the signs and symptoms become increasingly severe:

Redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead.
Small visible blood vessels on the face.
Bumps or pimples on the face.
Watery or irritated eyes.

That happens to me too...I turn red on one side of my face and my collarbone...but that's not Rosacea.
