it's supposed 2 depict some of my worst nightmares....hence the title "NightMare"

it's a snake entwined around her leg...which is, "coincidentally" assumed as a phallic symbol in dreams

You're very talented. I could never get the hang of painting. I went to an arts high school, and "majored" in drawing...I like having more control. I would get so frustrated when painting. So good for you, for being so good at it, and dedicated to it.

well i drew it on before i painted it (cuz i'm noooo painter LOL)
i used acrylics, permanent marker, conté and graphite

the page itself is in a giant sketchbook that i have...it was supposed to be on mayfair, but i LOATHE mayfair, and my preliminary sketch was looking so good in my sketch book that i decided to keep going in there

it's 14x17inches and oddly enough, i had four tracks from the "dream factory" album on repeat which kinda helped me LOL


i've always had a dream of falling, everyone does, but my dream involved a pit of stalagmite (or the other one...which ever one grows UP) @ the bottom and me falling directly over the tallest spike...and waking up just nanoseconds before impact...those nights, were, needless to say, sleepless nights after that... those dreams occur because of underlying stresses...and we were assigned this project, which was due @ the same time as another major project in another class, on top of 2 major midterms coming up before that so we only had time to study instead of having a full 2 weeks to work on this we only really had 1...so that's stress enough, not 2 mention what's going on in my actual life...
death occurs in everyone's dreams of death...that's potrayed thru skulls....
i've had many dreams of snakes lately....and apparently they're very sexual and phallic...so not a bad thing ( )
and the big clouds will soon be filled with random words but not directly to the painting cuz i like the way it looks, but i'm going to buy some mylar and put it over the painting so u can flip it away to take a look @ the actual picture...
the words will be photocopies of deffinitions in dream dictionaries, and deffinitions of nightmares and such...

(oh and of course, the red is symbolic too, depending on the shade...this is bright red, so a warning to curb my temper ) LOL
