My parents are moving to Las Cruces, New Mexico So when I go "home for the holidays", I won't be going to Colorado. Sad.

I suspect they will keep moving until they find that special place they know you won't move to.

Aww. It's hard to go "home" to a new place. A place where you didn't grow up.
My family is in New Mexico. You'll love going for visits there eventually. Las Cruces is kinda spread out and NM in general is sorta like it's own little world. It's a strange mixture of migrant workers and their families, illegal aliens and rich retirees. I'm sure you'll fit in somewhere. I AM BEATLOAF

NM is a trip, though. I like going out there for visits.

I actually grew up in the Bay Area until my family moved to Colorado my senior year of high school back in 1995. So, Colorado isn't completely "home", although that's where I lived for 6 years so it definitely feels like "home". I'm bummed because I really liked my holiday trips to Denver - the snow, the family, my friends, etc...I'll definitely be going there as much as I can, but it won't be quite the same without my parents, ya know? I've never been to NM and I don't know a soul there so going "home" during the holidays will be weird.

A part you probably wouldn't go to on your own. Sometimes it snows in New Mexico also. Usually only lasts a day though. I AM BEATLOAF

My Mom, brother and sister all lived in Denver. My sister just bought a place in Colorado Springs. Too cold for the kid though. I put in 17 years of snow time in NYC. That's enough. tA Tribal Disorder
