1) Children being allowed to roll on the floor down the aisles. Get your child off the floor so we can get a cup of soda and pretzels! The one time I don't think twice about drugging a child...give em Benadryl.
2) On a flight a direct flight to England, after about 5 hours of being in the air, it is announced that we have to make an emergency landing in NY because there's not enough working toilets. Grant it we boarded with the knowledge that only half the toilets were working. We only had 5 more hours to go, but instead landed in Queens at 2am, staying an additional 17 hours, and then reboarded and continued to England. So it took two days to get to England. Please make sure all toilets are working, especially for International flights. On the positive side, the meals and night stay at the Radisson were covered by the airline, which shall remain anonymous. 3) This is my own personal pet peeve. Choosing a window seat even though I know darn well that I'm gonna have to use it at least twice. So I inconvenience others. I just don't like aisle seats. Too much like bumper cars on the plane. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

i think people who work around children or who enjoy spending a lot of time with them might have higher tolerances for the loud noises and chaos that often accompany kids on planes.
but as far as some of the other peeves mentioned up in here this actually made the news the other day: 55% Heavyweights should pay more for Airline tickets .. Sept 12 , 2005 - Airlines.Ws - Dan McCullough Our latest Poll shows 55% of respondents voted that the airlines should charge overweight passengers more for their airline ticket . Should Overweight Passengers Pay more for their Airline Tickets ? YES 55% NO 45% While a slight majority do feel that overweight passengers should pay more ,Airlines.Ws received far more emails from those that feel that charging more for an airline ticket to those with weight problems is nothing more than discrimination. Most respondents emails were like those sent in from Mike Goring of Kansas City, Kansas who says: "Charging overweight people more is discrimination What's this world coming too , What's next if you have BO or kids or maybe your not the best looking so you pay more or just cannot fly" Susan Jackson of Tampa Fl responded "No , No , No" Those voting yes were just as passionate , anonymous from Sioux Falls Sd asks .. the overweight guy sitting next to me should have to pay for also sitting in half of my seat According to the Centers for Disease Control- nearly 60% of the US population overweight and 25% are considered obese so this issue with the Airlines will only grow . So what are the Airlines doing ? Well Southwest airlines has recently announced that it is charging those passengers who cannot fit in one seat with the armrest down . "The armrest is the definitive gauge, as it serves as the boundary between seats" To be fair to Southwest offers a refund for the second seat after the passengers lands at their destination IF the plane did not oversell .Rest assured that all the other airlines without a overweight passenger policy will be following and considering such a policy. And rest assured that while 55% of you will think such policies are just fine... the other 45% will make certain you hear otherwise. http://airlines.ws/ | |
