Sounds unfair to me.

My wife and I don't have allowances, but then we don't have money either. shrug

falloff makes it simple!

Certainly does. lol

There's really no point thinking about who has what, who has the money in their wallet. It's only going to go on bills or food at the moment anyway. sigh

Not to worry though. Life is grand. smile

and how does he NOT know how much she makes or what she does? (or are we talking job-wise and not what she does with the extra cash? confuse)

sounds like there are other problems in the marriage besides this potential one. shrug

she never lets him see her check. i dont think he realizes the bills they have and that there is extra money. yes they have other probs.

Let me get this straight...

He hands over HIS paycheck and gets a $100.00 allowance from it, the rest is hers to blow once the bills have been paid?

If that's the case and he has no freakin clue as to how much of it goes to line her pockets than I say he's lucky to have her!!!
A man that stupid:
A) probably doesn't make a great salary anyways makes good money for this area
B) would be conned out of it by replying to a spam email to help someone get his family fortune out of Nigeria would have to get her permission first
C) would have his ride repo'd for forgetting to make his payments she handles the bills

Yes - He's a lucky man indeed to have a good woman like that managing his money.
I think she deserves a raise!!

1. They probably have worked this out after a period of time. Usually it's the person who is "better" at handling money who gets the job of paying the bills.

2. If they have kids there are probably hidden expenses that he really doesn't want to know about--clothing, school pictures phuckin birthday party gifts. Pet expenses are in here too.

3. Is food considered a bill?

4. His $100 is his to spend on whatever he wants? not gas, or personal items, or personal accounts? He can blow it on whatever?

5. I was that woman for many years and hubby complained and complained that he never saw any of his money. So now HE gets to do it all, and now he understands the huge amount of responsibility it is and has been trying to get me to take over that chore again no no no! He had it much easier before, his gas even came out of the bill money. I wish I had $100 to spend every single month..oh yeah I work too and that money goes to bills also pout

This guy has it good.

is this HIM complaining or YOU??

just wondering because
if it is like this there was an agreement once upon a time or an ultimatum, what ever the case He gives his check to her, so if he's complaining now it's up to him to renegotiate the arrangement and deal with the consequeces. If it's you then

Why U all up in the koolaid?

this is his wife right? not some " I ain't sayin she's a golddigga" woman?
His choice his life

move on with yours

no offense just my twocents

peace

Does he have a "problem"? (drinking? gambling?) Does she earn 5 times as much as he? Does he owe her money somehow?
Otherwise, there's no way a normal man would allow such an arrangement. It doesn't feel right.

There's GOT to be more to this story...!

im not sure of the exact ammount that he makes but i think they are pretty close. they both drink but dont have what i would call a drinking problem. she is very pretty and he is not so attractive that may be the thing that keeps him quiet.
