I'll be praying for Taz's safe return.
I never was a cat guy, but the past week or so, I've been thinking about buying one. My parents don't like cats, and I know my mom would freak if I bought a black one. But, the black ones I've seen have been so cuuuute. Hang in there, amiga.

i'm worried that somebody picked him up as a "halloween cat" - there's always a concern that black cats vanish around Halloween. our Humane Society doesn't adopt out black cats in October. please keep your black cats inside if you can, and keep your fingers crossed that Taz is ok... dosen't adopt black cats in Oct....sounds a bit... to me .. for Taz's safety IB.. My folks always (and still do have) a boat load of animals...1 thing my Mom always did to the kitties to make sure they came home ...was to rub each paw with a bit of real butter when Taz gets home...remember this...it really does work... They always take extra long to lick it off...somehow they remember... and ers that Taz returns safely

maybe she will find her way home by herself. i think (or should i say i hope) somebody has taken him inside. he never wandered very far, was afraid of cars, and of most people. but if somebody fed him, he'd become their friend very quickly - you can tell he doesn't miss a meal. i'll put up some fliers and see what happens. thanks LleeLlee!

I really hope you find him. We've had this happen to a couple of our cats over the years since I was young, and I know how awful it feels not knowing where they are. You never know though, sometimes they just turn up. I really hope he does. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

it's amazing to me how many people can relate... a lot of people would probably just shrug, not understanding how much of a part of the family our animals can become. thanks, Minnie G!

I blame such comercial importance being placed on Halloween.
If someone has taken your cat as a prop to show off at some party, they need their head examining. I hope taz scratches their eyes out and comes home. Happy is he who finds out the causes for things.Virgil (70-19 BC). Virgil was such a lying bastard!

You're welcome. I really do know how it feels and it's just a horrible feeling. Whenever I'm out and about, running, etc. I'll see the posters that people put up about their missing pets and just stop and try to memorize what they look like. I'm constantly on the look out for them then. (although it's difficult here in Holland because almost everyone has a black and white cat, including me. I have two. They are very common here) Anyway, a few years ago my sisters cat went missing for almost two weeks. She thought for sure that something awful happened to her, but then she came back! The cat was really freaked out and most likely got lost in the surrounding woods, but she's just fine. She won't go outside anymore though since that happened.
