As for your question, I think it usually doesn't take more than a small effort to make yourself look decent. You might iron your shirt, comb your hair slightly if needed, cut your nails if they're too long, and yes - wear clothes that suit your body type. Nothing dramatic, just a normal part of your personal "maintenance".

But if by "hiding" you mean wearing a corset or stuffing in your stomach in way too small pants then no, I don't think that's a good idea. It will feel uncomfortable and look uncomfortable too.
