Ex-Moderator | For TRON, I suppose I can be a bit of a photowhore... Since the other thread got awfully long and since I don't have any pics of me I can find from actual high school and by specific request... I scanned in some old photos for you, TRON. As you know, I've been a redhead my whole life, save for a period of time from about ages 18-22. The changes really make me look different!
Me at 19 with blond hair. Look at those roots! This was taken in a friend's dorm room at Tulane university in New Orleans. Me at 19 with platinum dreds at Lake Calhoun. Incidentally, the only time I've ever worn a bikini top in public. You can probably see why. And yes, that's someone I cut out of the picture long ago. Me at 20 with black hair. These were taken at the very first cocktail party I ever threw. (Yup, I was underage and had to get someone to purchase all the liquor for me. ) And just for some contrast: Me at 24 Me at 26 Me at 28 Me at 30 OK, I think I'm done photowhoring for good now. |

Thanks. It was actually kinda fun to look through old pictures for a while. Especially to look in chronological order like that. |

Moderator | Carrie, I don't know you to well but everytime I see your picture I just wanna give you a big hug! You seem like such a cool person. Here's a photo I took with my phone yesterday, so it's kinda fuzzy, and I'm not wearing any makeup. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Carrie, how do you get your hair to stay so RED? When ever I do mine red it washes out really quick. Your hair is always so pretty. I'm jealous. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Oh Honey, Carrie and I could have our own forum to cover that! lol. It's true. Mainly cause I've got a very skilled colorist, and he's also a friend, so I get a special deal and don't pay even half of what it would be if I were to have to pay the salon, so I can get it done quite often. And I use shampoo for color treated hair. And I never use hot water on my hair, it opens the pores and lets the color out faster. Reds fade SO fast, but we've had good luck lately finding reds that fade well. |

Wella makes a good line and is fairly inexpensive. There's also red booster stuff you can add to the base color to get the super vibrant colors. It's all very chemistry experiment. |

Your salon stylist should inquire about your hair history and warn you if he/she finds out that you did a home dye job.

OMG Carrie, thank you for posting these! They're fantastic. What a cutie you are and have always been. I especially love seeing the ones of you really young with the blonde and black hair - so friggin' cute! I was actually thinking about starting a thread like this, but you've gone ahead and done it for me. I'll see what I can dig up and post mine too. I've had some pretty wild and drastically different hairstyles over the years. I'll try to show some of that.
