i think some men get turned on by it at first but after awhile the turn on wears off. i've been told in the past that by me being aggressive i was trying to be like a man or a 'nigga' 'cause i spoke my mind. and this is the same person who liked it in the beginning. i guess he thought i was not being me or something i dunno.

Well, this can definitely go both ways. I'm very opinionated and that can annoy the hell out of women. But as you say, some seem to think it's "interesting" at first.

o

This thread is reminding me of something I heard on the Howard Stern show, and I hope it's ok, Apples, to "piggyback" it on your thread.

They were playing this game with strippers who worked at the NYC club, Scores, giving them relatively simple questions to answer, and then the call-in listener quiz contestant had to guess whether or not the stripper would know the answer.

This woman knew 1/5 of the answers, and Howard and his crew were yukking it up. But then, in her defense, they were saying, "well, but if you saw her, you'd totally fall in love. You should see her!"

It made me wonder if men really feel that beauty trumps brains.....and how much of that they could put up with.

Oh come on, it's Howard Stern you're talking about! Not exactly the best representative of our gender. lol

But yeah, it's an age old fact that men rate appearence highly. It's just as shallow as women rating the men's financial status highly (and equally true). It doesn't mean that looks trumps intelligence though. We all just have certain shallow hang-ups.

Dumb men do. Everyone likes something good-looking, but it's the fool who settles for beauty without brains.

By the way, Howard just says what most men really think. But you'll notice that when he became single, he did not hook-up with a bimbo. His girlfriend is not an intellectual, but she is intelligent.

Really? Like, you really an truly belive that? Cause I find that thought horrifying, and frankly rather insulting to men in general.

The idea that he says what 'most men' are thinking. I loathe Howard Stern. I truly can't find a funny, intelligent or really even clever thing about him. I don't have specific examples off hand cause I can't stand to listen to the guy. lol.
